Mark Inglis

Mountaineering survivor, Paralympic athlete and wine producer Mark Inglis believes life is all about participation. "I've always felt it’s no use being just a voyager in life, as we are all here to make a difference. Life long learning is what I am about. The concept of challenge and personal excellence is an integral part of my life, responsible on many levels for how I have turned what many people would think of as stumbling blocks to the stepping stones of life".

"The message I convey isn’t just about how to recover from trauma in our lives, but how to learn to make the most of what we have, and hence how to excel in our corporate lives. That's why I completed an 8 day Outward Bound Discovery course in February this year. I believe my values mirror that of Outward Bound. I am also involved in the Marlborough First Light Foundation (initially as chairman, now patron), which offers scholarships for people from the Marlborough area to attend Outward Bound".
