Niu FM Kickstart scholarship

Together with Niu Fm – The beat of the Pacific, Outward bound is offering a limited amount of $1000 scholarships for Maori and Pacific Islanders to experience the Outward Bound Classic course. 

Course options are for 21 day Classic (18-26 years) course starting 2 April; 29 April or 27 May 2012. 

If your application is successful, Outward Bound will kickstart you with $1000 towards your course fee!

Terms and Conditions

Only current New Zealand residents can apply. Scholarships are not open to Niu FM staff members. Subject to standard Outward Bound enrolment criteria and conditions. Applicants must be physically fit and able to run 3km in under 25 minutes and complete a full day's activity. Course options are for 21 day Classic (18-26 years) course starting 2 April; 29 April or 27 May 2012. Applicants must be over18 years old and not attending school. Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Previous Outward Bound attendees are excluded from the scholarship. Must be redeemed (enrol in course) within 3 months of being awarded. Outward Bound and Niu FM may contact you about eligibility, fitness or medical criteria, products and services - your details will not be provided to any other organisations. The scholarship does not include travel to and from Outward Bound, the cost of completing a medical with a Doctor, and does not cover Travel Insurance. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Niu FM and Outward Bound will not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered as a result of accepting this scholarship. By accepting this scholarship, the winner acknowledges that his or her name and photograph may be used for publicity purposes. This is a limited offer subject to Outward Bound's ability tio fund scholarship applications. Successful applicants will be selected will be advised by post, telephone or email no later than the 15 February 2012.
