Deaf Adventure
Deaf Adventure is an eight day experience for people over 18 years who are Deaf or hearing impaired. Using the outdoors as your classroom, you will learn through activities like sailing, rock climbing and tramping. Support will be there when you need it, however the course will give you the opportunity to push yourself further than ever before.
Benefits you will get from a Deaf Adventure course are:
• get outside your comfort zone and try new experiences
• boost your self confidence and make new friends
• challenge others’ perceptions and discover your full potential.
Deaf Adventure is suitable for people who:
• are active, independent and seeking adventure
• are confident in water and have good fitness
• have experience away from home and work well in a team environment.
Two NZSL interpreters support the Deaf Adventure course.
Course Dates
• March 2011
