Insight
Insight is an eight day experience for people over 18 years who are blind or visually impaired. Using the outdoors as your classroom, you will learn through activities like sailing, rock climbing and tramping. Support will be there when you need it, however the course will give you the opportunity to push yourself further than ever before.
Benefits you will get from an Insight course are:
get outside your comfort zone and try new experiences
boost your self confidence and make new friends
challenge others perceptions and discover your full potential.
Insight is suitable for people who:
are active, independent and seeking adventure
are confident in water and have good fitness
have experience away from home and work well in a team environment.
Insight is designed in collaboration with Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind (RNZFB). Two RNZFB Recreation Advisors support the Insight course.

I had so much fun at Outward Bound, doing the activities and learning that even though Ive lost my sight I can do it. With the support of Instructors and Watchmates, they helped me overcome my fears and get my confidence back!! Natalie Fraser, Insight participant
