Put very simply...eight days of Outward Bound on the Discovery course was outstanding.  Knowing very little about what I was in for made this life experience something I shall cherish forever.

Not only did they challenge you physically and mentally from 6am to 9pm (if not later), but they provided an environment you could set your own personal life values and structured goal setting objectives.  I could go on and write a short story of 'Outward Bound Adventures', but it woulnd't do it true justice.  It must be experienced yourself!

One goal or expectation I wanted from Outward Bound was to be pushed physically and mentally to find my limits.  What I found surprised me...there are no limits just excuses you put in front of yourself.

My Ode to Outward Bound - Early in the Morn

We lost our shoulders rowing a storm lashed Cutter early in the morning

We lost our thighs in the canoes on the Rai early in the morning

We lost our feet on the PTI beat early in the morning

We lost our breath on Heartbreak Hill while heading out to Cullensville early in the morning

We lost our backs in the solo bivvys early in the morning

But we found ourselves to be true and sound here on Course 495 at Outward Bound
