International Student Enrolment and Medical
If you do not hold a New Zealand Passport and you are currently living/working overseas then you are classed as an International Student. You need to have a medium to good grasp of the English language to understand instructions and therefore ensure your own, and others safety on a course
To enrol, you must provide the following:
- A completed international enrolment form
- A photocopy of the first two pages of your passport containing your photo and personal details including passport number, expiry date and place of birth
- Details about your visa or permit prior to attending a course if you are required to have this on entry to New Zealand
- Details of your travel and medical insurance prior to attending a course. You may be liable for medical costs in case of an accident.
Once you are enrolled you will need to provide the following eight weeks prior to your course start:
- Your completed international medical form
- Payment of your course fees.
There is an additional charge for international participants of $850NZD for 21 day courses and $350NZD for 8 day courses. Our advertised rates are subsidised and Outward Bound (a non-profit organisation) sources funding for the shortfall of this rate for all New Zealand citizens/residents. Unfortunately we cannot offer this subsidy to international students. These fees do not apply to New Zealand, Australian and Pacific Island residents.
