New School Director

Outward Bound's New School Director.

Steve Hall, who has been school director for the past 5 years, is now moving on to his next challenge and adventure – life outside of Anakiwa. A big thank you to Steve, his wife Sally, and their three boys, Trent, Christopher and Stefan, for all they have given to Outward Bound and all the people who’s lives they have touched. We wish you well with your future endeavours.

We would like to welcome Rob McLean to the Outward Bound New Zealand team, along with his wife Lucy and their son Jack. Rob will take over from Steve Hall as the new school director at the end of April 2009.

Rob was the co – founder of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS NZ) based in Christchurch. He has 11 yrs experience in outdoor education including guiding and facilitating activities at NOLS in several countries. In addition to his many outdoor qualifications, Rob has a Batchelor of Science (First Class Honours) Environmental Science from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Science (Biology) from the University of Alaska.'
