For students transitioning in a leadership role in year 12 or 13. Understand what it means to become a leader and work as part of a team. Learn how to inspire others and be a great role model, while getting in touch with your values and understanding how they guide personal decisions. Create life long friendships and networks with other young leaders from schools across New Zealand.
Our courses are designed to be mentally, emotionally, and physically challenging for the average participant. Activities occur in all weather conditions and can include off-track tramping, camping outside (sometimes alone), whitewater and surf kayaking, running, sailing, swimming, rockclimbing and high-ropes.

The School Leaders programme aligns with our Mind Body Soul course but with a specific focus on developing leadership. The following additional activities and support are included:
On enrolment applicants are required to provide evidence of their leadership role.
When you come to Outward Bound, there are items that you will need to bring with you and items that we will supply. As for the things that you need to bring - we encourage you to borrow as many items as you can, or buy second hand!

Yes, all students on this course need to provide written endorsement from a teacher that they hold an active leadership position.
