Discovery

For ages 27-45 Duration 8 days

Discovery is the short, sharp Outward Bound experience for ages 27-45. Take this unique opportunity to step away from work, technology and family commitments, and work on rediscovering yourself and your values.

It’s very easy to limit yourself for a whole bunch of reasons, as you get older. I was surprised that after 8 short but tough days, I had an experience that is now ingrained within my decision-making processes.

Outward Bound reminded me to use each moment productively, do things that matter and are positive, and keep asking the question about what matters to you and the community. In other words don’t stop growing – keep pushing yourself in a healthy way.

Programme

This compact course is high energy with little downtime but still perfectly balanced for those looking for physical challenge and seeking a reflective experience. Like a condensed version of the Masters course, Discovery will challenge any self imposed limitations of your capabilities through a series of outdoor and personal reflection challenges. Over the eight day programme, you'll take on bush, water and height activities, utilising the bush, mountains and waterways of the Marlborough Sounds.
