Booking your Outward Bound Course

Begin your journey to Outward Bound by visiting our course finder. Choose the adventure that's right for you, select the date and complete the online booking form with your details.

Then pay your $749 deposit to reserve your place and check out the steps below to learn what happens next.

 

Enrolment and Medical Forms

Within 1-3 working days of making your booking, you’ll hear from a member of our enrolment team.

You’ll have a quick chat to discuss the course and they’ll ask a few simple questions to make sure the programme is right for you.

You’ll then receive some more information from us, which includes a link to this page. These are the forms you need for your enrolment:

  • Enrolment form - tells us a few more details about you, your next of kin and how you would like to pay for your course. NB to use the digital signature option on this form you will need to save and open it from your computer using Adobe (rather than opening directly through your browser window). If you are experiencing issues completing this form on your computer, please print and complete by hand, then scan and send back to us.
  • Medical form - complete with your doctor and return it to us by the due date indicated in your pre-course email. You may need to pay for your medical appointment (often between $35-70).

Preparing for Outward Bound

Here's some information that will help you get ready for your adventure:

  • Gear list – a quick checklist of what to bring and what not to bring on your adventure.
  • Travel info – key tips and reminders for your journey to Anakiwa. You’ll need to be at the Picton Ferry Terminal by 12.30 on the day of your course.
  • Get fit tips – quick and easy advice for boosting your fitness in preparation for the course.

Professional Course Information

If you are booking on a business course you will need to complete the following forms. (THESE FORMS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE BOOKING ON PROFESSIONAL COURSES).

You'll also find the following information helpful:

  • Short Course Gear List – a quick checklist of what to bring and what not to bring on your adventure. Please note - this is the gear list for short courses only, if your course is more than 5 days please see full gear list.
  • Travel Info – key tips and reminders for your journey to Anakiwa. Please note, Professional courses are required to meet at Picton Ferry Terminal by 11.30am on the day of your course.

 

Confirmation and Payment

Once your medical has been approved by our nurse, you’ll receive a confirmation letter or email.
If you’re responsible for settling the full course fee, you’ll need to pay your balance at least 8 weeks before your course start date. Find out more in our Terms & Conditions.
